About the Soraya Divider Handbag

A super unique and fun sew! 

The bag has two pieces that make up both the front and back.  Both the front and back open wide to reveal magnetic snap compartments as well as a slip pocket on each side. 

In the middle, there is a zippered divider pocket that separates the two side compartments. 

A cross-body strap and easy carry handles finish off the bag.

The lining is a drop-in.

On a scale of Boisterous Beginner/Adventurous Intermediate/Excitingly Advanced, this bag is Excitingly Advanced.  The bag is domestic friendly with drop-in lining finish. Rectangular pieces are only given by cut chart measurements.

• 3/4 yd (68.5cm) Vinyl, faux leather, or cork at 54” (137cm) WOF ¹ ̛ ²
• 3/4 yd (68.5cm) Woven Lining at 44” (112cm) WOF
• 1-1/2 yds (137cm) Woven Interfacing at 20” (51cm) WOF
• 2/3 yd (61cm)  Pellon Decovil Light 525
• 5” x 10” (12.7cm x 25.5cm)  Pellon Decovil “Heavy” 526

¹ Woven fabric can be used for the exterior with this bag.  If using woven, I suggest one or two layers of woven interfacing on all woven exterior pieces.  Then stabilize as the pattern suggests. 

² Thicker material works well for this pattern as long as your machine, rivets, and rivet press can handle it.
